  • Origins Plantidote Mega Mushroom Face Serum – Is it Any Good?

      org_09GH_awrd_lrg

I am one of the millions of people who suffer from eczema. It’s not too bad at times, but I always get flare ups in the face. Because of this, I’ve taken a liking to all natural skin care products.

The lady at the Origins counter swore by this stuff from Dr. Andrew Weil. It’s a face serum that’s made specifically to combat inflammation from a blend of Hypsizygus ulmarius, Cordyceps and Reishi Mushrooms, Ginger, Turmeric and Holy Basil. It’s not cheap as it’s $66  for 1.7 fl. oz.

Has anyone tried this? I would love love love some feedback!

YES i have mild rosacea and it did wonders for me!

it's a little pricy, a nice alternative is Boot's Expert Anti-Redness Serum, found at target :)

Haven't tried it, not at $66 a pop.  But I do get excema and rosacea also.  Excema, my doctor insists, needs extra-moisturizing like Eucerin though I use Aveeno with oatmeal for extra-dry cause I tend to have oily skin.

As far as the rosacea, I mention it because about the only thing that will calm a flare-up is chamomile; any moisturizer I can find with chamomile as an ingredient.

what exactly are the symptoms of eczema and rosacea?  My face tends to flare up with little red bumps and they itch sometimes but it's mostly blotchy, and I just bought the origins friction, gentle dermabrasion exfoliant, or whatever, and that's worked nicely but I wonder if I'm having a reaction to it, cause my face has gotten bumpy and itchy the night after I used it :/  Sorry this isn't helpful at all, but I've heard good things about Dr. Weil's line for origins.  It's good for youthful skin as well I believe.

I'd rather have eczema than psoriasis. I have psoriasis on my face under my nose. I also have it in my ears. They crack and bleed and then the skin gets in my ear drum and it gets infected and I can't hear. The only thing I have found that works is the medicine that like the eighth doctor I went to gave me.
