I always thought it kind of strange that my friend won't date guys shorter than her. I can understand not wanting to loom over your date, but this cuts so many prospects. It's hard enough finding a significant other -- must we put limitations that have nothing to do with personality on them?
She may have a point, though. Tom and Katie make a bit of an odd couple.

Do you think it's silly that people look at height when thinking about whom to date, or is it just as important as other features? Do you take height into consideration?

hahha dating someone shorter than me?..i have yet to meet a guy shorter than me. i think women like men at least 6 inches taller than them.
I'm 5'9 so I've had my share of short & tall. My dad is short & my mom is tall. She had to bend down to kiss him, LOL. It's all about love to me. Height shouldnt matter

I don't see many people shorter than me, men or women. I wouldn't mind if I dated somebody shorter than me but we would be a very height challenged couple... I am barely 5'0"
I dated a guy who was well over a foot taller than I was, and I absolutely loved it. I was always attracted to the really tall guys. But I am finding I am much happier with 5'11 or there abouts. It would be hard for me to find a guy who was shorter than me but I doubt I would date anyone shorter than me, because I don't plan on dating again! mwahaha marriage ftw i hated dating

I'm slightly taller than my boyfriend. He is 5'9" and I'm 5'10" but it doesn't really bother us. I still wear heels around him, I don't like that alot of tall girls think they can only wear flats though. I like both both.
I wouldn't date someone shorter than me. I do like a lot taller though. I'm 5'2" and my husband is 6'6"

i wouldn't date someone shorter than me.. because well i'm only 5'1. there is a limit to too tall though, but if their personality shines through, their height won't matter.
I'm only 5ft tall so it would be hard to find anyone to date that is shorter than me. I don't think size matters. I have been out with guys of many different heights. I never really notice the height. I do notice the eyes, the voice, the wit.I like a guy who can hold up his end of a conversation and who has a good sense of humor.
I'm 5'4", so it's easy to find someone at least my height to date. I've never dated anyone shorter - all of my boyfriends have been taller, whether it's a few inches, or over a foot. My current boyfriend is 6' tall, and he seems like the perfect height for me right now.

I've always preferred taller... especially much taller. But my current SO is 1/4 to 1/2in. shorter than I am (I'm 5'8" and he's almost). I wouldn't trade him in for someone taller though!

My father was shorter than my mother and they loved each other immensely. Â I don't think it should matter too much, but I confess I do want a taller guy since I'm almost 5'10"Â

I really prefer guys taller than me. I'm only 5'2", but a few guys who've been interested in me were around 5'5" or 5'6". It doesn't make me like them back any less than if they were 5'8" to 5'11" or taller, but I have a thing for tall. I'm not sure why, maybe it's like they can protect me better, or at least look like they can, hah.

Lol, I don't think I would date a guy short than me... I like my guys tall. I'm 5'7" & my ex was 5'11", I liked being able to hug him & place my head on his chest. I'm not sure how well that would go if I dated someone four inches shorter than me... lol.
it looks like katie can pick tom up and that's not hot. I'm only 5'3" so I can't date anyone shorter than me lol that'll be too weird. I don't want to be able to bodyslam him hahah...I love super tall guys. I don't mind if he is 6'3" but not too tall like shaq because that's way too tall and scary.
I'm barely 5'1"... So.... someone shorter than me is just too short... I've had boyfriends from 5'5" to 6'4" (haha... for some reason tall guys like me...). My last bf was 5'10," and that seemed to be a pretty good height.
