Hickeys: What's Your Opinion?
Question of the Day:
Quite a few of you responded to the post, "How To Remove a Hickey." What's your opinion on hickeys in general? Is it really a special love bite, or just an annoying thing to deal with?

It's a special love bite for a very short period of time. When I realize I have to go outside and be with other people it's just an annoying thing I have to deal with.
I think they're tacky and make me feel trashy when left on a patch of skin (like the neck) that's visible to anybody other than the one who gave it to me. If it's somewhere where only my boyfriend can see, I kind of like it, because it's sort of like carrying around a secret.
i dont mind them i guess. i dont really care what other people think when they notice them. most are just curious for the dirty deets behind it anyways.
i dont get them. i know what they are. but i dont get it...why?!
honostly i think its just a way for men/ women to mark their territory. a wise man once told me (my daddy) "if you wanna get a hickie, you might as well let them pis on you, its pretty much the same thing" i dont know i think hickie are just discusting, i have gotten them, but i would never show them, i only allow them places other ppl cant see (like shoulders etc. it just makes you loook trashy
They're fun to get, but after that, they're annoying. And a little trashy.
They're fucking gross and juvenile.
The process of making hickeys and receiving them is fun.
Walking around with a hickey, however, that's not so fun. It doesn't really look good either.
I think they're disgusting on anyone. If it was really something special, why would everyone be trying to get rid of them or cover them up. There is no need to bite or suck hard enough to leave marks. Yuck!

depending on wether hickies are gross or not is wether who you get them from, and how you reveal them . Their only gross and trashy if you make them be trashy !
um, keep it out of my sight please. If you want to "mark your territory" you can do it somewhere where I don't have to see it. Otherwise its just unattractive

I love receiving & giving hickeys. I have no clue why. They can be annoying to deal with if they're ridiculously red or big, though.

I don't think they're all that special or are that big of a deal.. or should be that big of a deal. They're... acceptable (?) if given by the right person in moderation..
and only when other people don't see the process of the hickey-making. Keep that part on the DL, please!
