The Best Pose for Pictures
After coming back from a dance, I was looking through my pictures of that night. I had taken many with my friends, and there was something that I noticed.
People whose heads were tilted up and who were smiling looked more confident and beautiful than people tilting their heads downward.
Do you every tilt your head up when taking pictures? In what pose do you look best?

my favorite pictures are the non posed type. Where you take pictures of people actually doing stuff
@Kristenmomof3@xanga - I think those look the best. :)
It all depends on your features.
@Kristenmomof3@xanga - i love when people take off guard pics of me...i agree with u =]
angled to the side with your head kinda tilted up.
I agree with you when you say people look prettier....its more flattering.
i like natural poses. like you look like you're about to do or doing something and you're really posing.
My sister said the best pose is to tilt your head down 45 degrees and look up. Maybe that only helps to make your eyes bigger, but I wouldn't know.
Depends on what I'm wearing =P
i never notice haha
that's interesting though
tilting your head up is a horrible pose. for modeling it looks nice if one wants to take a shot of a defined jawline. but that is it.
myspace shot!!! from above, while you're looking coyly up at the camera and puckering your lips!
just kidding. i don't like posed shots. my sister always poses the same for every shot and it gets boring real fast. who cares if you don't look your best, as long as you look like you're having fun!
I don't really notice how I tilt my head. Most of my pictures involve my friends or family, so we're all over the place.
Some people like tilting up or down depending on their face shape. The angle of the face makes a big difference in defining features, like the cheekbones.
I like 'in the moment pictures where somebody is laughing off their head. It just really captures the moment.
tilting up? hmm tilting down works better for me. : )
but the best pictures dont really have to do with the tilt of the head. its all about how genuine it is, imo. being in the moment : )
Standing up straight/shoulders back makes a big difference. I learned that with freshman homecoming photos, when I unconsciously slumped my shoulders so I didn't tower above my (rather short) friends. Result: They looked good, I looked terrible.
i dont know, but her chin looks ridiculously huge. she must of lost weight, and it's exposing her structure more, because i always thought it was a lot rounder!
Put your hand on your hip.
Makes you look like a diva EVERY time.
i think in a way tilting your head down also makes you look younger too. at least from what I observed
When you tilt your head down, it's supposed to make your face look thinner.
the fob sign :D
My chin looks HUGE if my face it tilted upward in a picture. I like to tilt my head down and look up. It does a good job of hiding my God awful chin size =)Â
I guess it depends. xD
I think angle pictures are nice :)
@chPanda@xanga - toootaallly know what you mean. i love those pictures too. genuine smiling/laughing.
my best pooose... like. its forward, not really tilted down, not tilted up. just. regular. i often place my hand to my waist to emphasize mis curves and etc.
alllllllll the time!!!
