DIY: T-shirt Surgery
One of my favorite things to do is perform a little t-shirt surgery on some of my boyfriend's old band shirts. He'll give me all the ones that are too small, but I'm a small girl and I like to make them a bit more girly. I found this great tutorial to turn a regular t-shirt into cute girly one that shows off my shoulders.
Have you ever performed T-shirt surgery? How did it turn out?

I tried once, but it didn't turn out right at all... The original shirt was just too big, I cut off too much, and all of it was very experimental.
That one you did is very cute!
Great idea!!!
Love what you did to it.
And I love Atreyu. :D
If I tried to perform t-shirt surgery, I would end up killing it.
Cool
This is so cute! I think i'm going to go give t-shirt surgery another try today. I have that generation T book, but I've never made anything look cool.
Very cute. Maybe I'll try that sometime. =]
very nice =)
i've always wanted to try t shirt surgery of any kind, but i've never gotten the courage to ruin a shirt, shitty though it may be... maybe one day! instructables has a lot of great t shirt altering instructions. i've never seen the cut you're wearing, it's cute.
I might do that to a Dexter t-shirt that I have, it's too big though so I'd probably have to take it in.
whoa nice surgery!! :)
cool post. anymore surgeries to share??
Wow, that's pretty awesome.
LOVE IT!
i'm definitely going to give thissss a try. :)wow, definitely gonna give this a try.
I'm always itching to modify my t-shirts, but I don't have the heart to because they just have..sentimental value. Dance class shirts, club tees...I just can't bring myself to hack away. But I do cut up other garments, hoping to use the remaining pieces in sewing projects.
I like what you did with your shirt =]
great job!
most of the time i do t-shirt surgery, i would just cut the neck line to make it wider and wear a tank top underneath it so i can wear sweats with them for my dance class. it has that more relaxing feel to it, but still girly (:
personally im too scared to cut band t-shirts lol but good work on the atreyu shirt (:
I luv it! I too use that method with all my band shirts just to give them that seeexxxxaaaay touch
That one's really cute :)
THAT looks fab on you, but I don't think I could ever pull it off. I did do it once to a shirt I once had.... but at the end I threw it out/
haha that soo cool, gotta give that a try!
.....no
You did well! I'm so scared of doing that to my shirts and ruining them....
it looks really cute when other people cut up their t-shirts, but when I try it it looks really...intentional. Lol. So I just have to buy mine pre-ripped.
i like it, but i'm not a very good, uh, t-shirt doctor.
cute!!
