Attention all fair skinned mavens -- I have a product crush on Giorgio Armani's Luminous Silk Foundation. I am Scandinavian and thus very fair; I take pride in what I've been told is porcelain skin! I certainly work the look, but have always hit a wall when attempting to find an appropriate concealer or foundation -- they are always too yellow, too pink, and moreover too dark. I was beginning to think that all my favorites -- Chanel, YSL, MAC, etc -- had forgotten about the porcelain ladies.
Yet Mr. Armani has not, filling the beauty market void with his Luminous Silk Foundation.
It comes in many colors, including very pale tones that actually match my fair skin color. I personally recommend color #2 as I have used it for almost 6 months and have looked camera ready every time. Also good to note is the sister product Luminous Silk Powder in color #2, which helps to keep my foundation looking perfect throughout the night.
Have you ever used this product? What other products or tricks have you found for very fair or dark skinned ladies?

I love it and have been using it for over 2 years. The best foundation I have ever used!
How much does it cost?
And is it really thick?
Sounds snazzy :)
I have very fair skin. Almost white, or so I've been told. I think if I can find this product, I might try it out. Thanks. :)
eh, i just use Clinique spot concealer/powder/acne solutions. i'm not that pale though.
I'm fair skinned. My background is mostly Scottish. It's sometimes a pain to find the right color. I usually have a problem finding a concealer. Most makeup companies in the drug stores don't have products light enough. I use Clinique concealer.
nope :$
Thank you thank you thank you Melanie for this tip! I'm going to try this product out - I have had the same problems, finding ever product I try is either too pink or too yellow for my porcelain (I'm norwegian and swedish from my Dad and Irish from my Mom!) skin.Â
I'm Irish...very, very pale. I have red hair and I found this make up line called Just for Redheads. I like they're foundation.
Hello from the author,
Thanks everyone for your comments! I noticed some commented on the price of this fabulous product. It is indeed $58.00 but it is completely worth it. I have had my bottle of foundation for over three months and it is still going strong! You only need to apply a drop or two for your whole face, and so the $58.00 goes a very long way. Inferior makeup products may be cheaper but you will have to use more product to get the same amount of coverage.
I recommend trying out the product at a department store counter for free to see just how amazing it is.
ciao,
Melanie
Oooh, that looks like it would suit me! I'm quite fair skinned and I've been looking to get a really nice foundation.
i always hear good compliment about this product and I so wanna try it some day.
but it 's a bit pricey for me, maybe after I finish using my old one. I might buy it.
Bare Minerals is amazinggggg.
I use Amphigory products for my pale almost gothic-white skin.
They have the lightest foundations and powders I've seen, and isn't clown makeup! They have great eye and lip colors, too, from standard (The perfect pinky-nude lip color) to fanciful. (Burgundy eyeliner really brings out blue and green eyes, and it's more subtle than you think!)
