Which Contact Lens Brand is the Best?
By Iris@Lovelyish
I have always worn Acuvue Daily contacts, but I was at the optometrist's recently, and my doctor recommended "Clear Comfort Daily" contacts.
I asked my friends what they used. One friend used Acuvue as well. Another friend used Encore contact lenses. Another opted for Freshlook.
Acuvue lenses are okay, but my eyes sometimes get dry (though I use the moist ones pictured above).
Does anyone have any recommendations? Which contact lens brand do you use?

i use acuvue oasys.
Well, I've got (bad) astigmatism so I'm stuck with Toric lenses. Anyone else who's got that, I use Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism.
They work really well and don't dry out easy.
I have Bausch&Lomb, monthly soft lenses. My eyes get sometimes dry too, so I also use some eye drops to refresh them and it works. But I must say that I had problems with wearing contacts and applying eye make up (mascara for example), so now I'm using mascara that's suitable for contact lenses wearers :)
This post is really helpful because I'm going to get contacts on Wednesday. This is the first time I will be wearing contacts..

There are kinds of mascara for people who wear contacts? What brand do you think is best?
acuvue ads act as if every other contact makes your eyes dry and uncomfortable.

i wear soft lenses,
but im not sure what brand they are
I've used acuvue advance since I first got contacts and I love them. They never really dry out. But when they do, rewetting drops work.
@rzimmerman08@xanga - Yes they are, because contact lenses make your eyes very sensitive. Here you go: http://www.glimpse.com/query.php?query=mascara+suitable+for+contact+wearers

Oh, okay. Well I'm new at this. Thank you!! :)
I tried the Acuvue Oasys as my first contact lenses and I loved them <3. Of course, they were slightly uncomfortable because they were my first lenses, but nonetheless, I thought they were really good.
However, I found them to be quite expensive =/. I use Encore now; slightly drying, but they are pretty good too.
I use Acuvue Oasis. They're my first contacts, and I like them so far.
I also use Acuvue Oasis. I like them... But I've never used other brands.
I just got fitted for Extreme H2O contacts... now I am wondering.. how DO you take them out without staining them with eyemakeup? I know some say to use water based .. and then some say to use waterproof.. I am confused! How does everyone else go about using eyemakeup/removing and wearing contacts??
Like many others I use Acuvue Oasys.
They work fine, but I think I'm too rough with them or something because they seem to tear easily.
Biomedics - its an english brand and i cant do any other brands other than that :) pretty darn expensive tho
I actually use Cooper Vision Toric Lenses. My eye doctor says even though its not well known as a brand name, it's popular among doctors just because it's been around for ages. I usually don't get dry eyes when I wear them until after 12 hours or so.
Been using acuvue since 2003 and have never had any issues.
I have used Focus (Toric) for more than 5 years. I have tried Acuvue but didn't suit me.
acevue oasis
Bausch&Lomb,
soft monthlies.
I like them because they're not too soft.
They have a bit of structure for people like
me who have trouble putting contacts on .. 8)
Acuvue - the bi -weekly one
I'm wearing Acuvue Oasis. I loveee them. :D
I wear Freshlook.
only toric works bc i have astigmatism.
You're eye is getting dry, becuz Acuvue 1-day's are equal to the old Acuvue disposables (I forgot which one, but it's pretty old).
I use the Acuvue Oasis... it's the best. Allows so much oxygen to get in, that I don't even need rewetting drops all day.
I use the Acuvue 1-day from time to time, when I go swimming at the beach or something.
