Product Crush: Garnier Fructis Curl Construct Mousse
By Erica@Lovelyish
What it is: Garnier Fructis Style Curl Construct mousse. Also known as the most affordable product for girls with curly hair (heaven sent). Not only does a tiny dab go a long way, it goes in a way that won't leave your hair feeling like you put crunchy sticks or hay in it.Why you want it: If you're like me, you've got hair that is curly on one side, wave on the other and straight in the back. This mousse will help equalize it and make all sides wavy to curly (depending on how much you put in and if you diffuse or not). I dab a little of this throughout my hair and as my hair air dries I can watch perfect waves form on my head. I worked at a salon and even told the clients to ditch our expensive curl products and run to the nearest CVS (sorry, boss).
Where you can get it: Chances are the drugstore down the street from you has it. Also Target, CVS, etc. It'll leave you only $4 short!

Amazing. =)
I usually shy away from Garnier though. Just doesn't have the power needed to take care of my hair.
Hmm, I'm gonna have to give this a try!
I've used a lot of Garnier Fructis products. They work for a while but after a couple of months my hair got used to the product and it stopped working. It has a nice smell though.
I've tried it. I like better the one from Pantene Pro-V and Aussie. They are both the same price as Garnier but for me, they work better.
i dont curl my hair much, but i'll most likely give it a try, since i use all garnier products anyhow
I've used this...I like it. But I need to switch occasionally between products. It seems like my hair gets tired of one thing and I need to change it up.
haven't tried that yet, I'll have to pick some up

how can you sleep at night knowing you are blatantly advertising a product that is potentially harmful.
you are, as of a few moments after i press submit, unfriended.
this xanga is duplicitous and hypocritical of what a true blog should be.
I just went out and got this today, used it, and i love it! I'm always looking for good stuff for my curly hair. thanks!
YES! I absolutely swear by Fructis & this is from someone who is mad cheap & hates buying hair products. When I shelled out for a haircut recently, even the ladies @ the salon agreed that this brand is one of your better off-the-shelf options. (plus they all smell amazing :) !)
@CARLYpev@xanga - I agree Garnier Fructis is a horrible company that puts a lot of un-needed shit in their products (I mean really, who feels like putting butane and propane in hair mousse?), but wtf? The mousse scored a 6.3 out of 10 on that website- so it's not like you're working acid into your hair every day.
And to be honest, not a lot of people have the cash to buy expensive shit, or the knowledge to make their own skin care products. So their only option is drug store brands, which are pretty much garunteed to have potentially dangerous chemicals in them.
It works dencently, but Garnier leave-in products like shit to be honest..
I used to use that stuff, but I started using the Herbal Essences "Totally Twisted" mousse, and it works SO much better. It will cost you about $3 for the same size can. It doesn't leave hair as sticky as garnier's.
I recently switched to Garnier's curl construct mouse (based on this posting), leaving behind my Herbal Essences Totally Twisted (which I used to swear I'd never give up). I find that for my fine, curly hair - this product works much better. And yes - a little goes a long way. Thanks for the recommend.
I love this hair product even if you only have a little wave to your hair scrunching and blow drying down is a great way to bring almost straight hair beachy curls
