Don't worry... I'm not a hater. I admit that I am completely guilty of this. There are definitely times when I've stepped outside with chipped nail polish or with a few nails painted and the others not. It's not because I think it's attractive somehow, but because when we are busy, the last thing we think about is painting our nails. I know, it takes a minute to rub some nail polish remover on those bad boys, but we become distracted with other things that are higher on our list of importance.
I used to not care so much if I had chipped nail polish, but now it bothers me to the max. If one nail is chipped, I'll paint over it or I'll take the nail polish off my nails. I don't know why but I'm just anal like that at times.
Even if I'm sitting on the subway, if I see chipped nail polish, a part of me wants to pick it off completely. I don't know -- it seems like a not-so-hot thing that has somehow developed into a cool trend. I don't know, though. Maybe it's just me... what do you think?

HAHA my track coach's biggest pet peeve is this, and she brings nail polish remover and cotton balls to practice and makes girls with chipped polish take it off.. funniest thing everr

I HATE when my nail polish chips. I wish simply painting over them without removing the paint would suffice.
I don't wear nail polish because it drives me insane too... Now my toes.. When they are chipped I wear socks!! LOL
Oh yes, I used to not care if my nail polish was chipped or not, but now it drives me crazy. I like to look as clean and polished as possible so I do the same as you if my polish is chipped.

Im trying to grow my nails out so I'm keeping paint on them but they usually end up chipped within a day.
Its rather unfortunate.
I totally hate chipped nail polish. I used to repaint the entire nail whenever that happened, and then it wouldn't match my other nails so I would have to repaint them all too.
Needless to say, I stopped painting my nails. :)
My finger nails are always chipped. The only time they aren't is maybe the twelve hours after I paint them. I don't bother trying to keep up. I keep them like that until all the polish comes off of one nail. My toe nails on the other hand (or foot?) are a different story. I can't stand to have them chipped.
Chipped nail polish sure bothers me. To me it just seemed unattractive and messy.
I'm okay with chipped nail polish because I'm guilty of it, haha. It takes me usually two to three days to realize how ugly the mess is. That's when I remove them. I don't like repainting that much.

I can't stand chipped polish either. But yeah, sometimes we just don't have the time to fix it.
When I can though, I'll fill in the chipped parts and then go over it with a top coat to smooth things out until I can properly re-do my nails. XD

Oh, who cares?! Fashion pet peeve: Women with no eyebrows and fake nails that are so pretty that anyone can tell they're fake. I don't wear nail polish because I can't find a color that really matches my hands.
i think that well manicured nails are a nice touch to a person's look, but not so important if they're not. as long as theyre not haggard and dirty, i could care less.
I'm guilty of it when I'm not in a position where it matters.
If I'm not making a big deal out of my entire appearance, my nails won't matter much to me.
