Question of the Day:
I admit, I sometimes feel prettier when I see my romantic interest looking at me a certain way. A special person, a special dress, a special scent... what makes you feel pretty?

WAY TO RIP OFF A XANGA IDEA THAT HAS BEEN FLOATING AROUND FOR THE PAST WEEK. IF ONLY AN ISH SITE COULD BE ORIGINAL REAL XANGANS WOULDN"T BE SO APPALLED AT THE LACK OF GOOD MATERIAL.
What makes me feel pretty? When Xanga sister sites don't rip of my ideas.
We actually come up with our questions weeks before guest content is chosen. This question therefore came *before* we ever saw the post. It's good to know that great minds think alike, and it's not that surprising that a beauty site would feature a question asking its readers what makes them feel beautiful.
Pretty is a condescending, superficial term. Pretty describes the physical. Beauty is something found far beyond what's physical. My friend kate says it better than I could...

@Iris - But even if the question was chosen earlier on, after putting up the guest post, wouldn't it make sense to choose a different question?

@Iris - Sure, let me guess, the next hot topic will be, tacky christmas decorations, or wait, I wrote about Miley cyrus, maybe we should talk about her. This is effing ridiculous. You robbed that girl of her idea, and it traveled xanga for days. I would blame someone directly, but i know that THE XANGA TEAM doesnt spend enough time on xanga to even know what the fuck is going on. At least Im archived, so when the site goes under from people leaving, I will have my material.

Being at the beach makes me feel pretty -- I love everything about it.
Wow, geez, you guys need to calm down about all this. It's not that big of a deal to have people post things along the same lines. Don't people have anything better to argue about these days?
@gymbum20@xanga - when you have an idea original enough to be stolen, then you can talk about being upset about it. Until then, keep your nose where it belongs. The girl deserves CREDIT where CREDIT is due.
@gymbum20@xanga - well said. i think iris also makes a good point -- it's a frickin beauty site -- questions about beauty are therefore inevitably going to crop up. by the other commentators' standards, half the content should be taken down because it too, relates to beauty!
I feel pretty after I have had a good workout and straightened my hair, put some mascara and perfume on. That is when I feel pretty!

Hm I don't know...special clothes, shoes, even make up, I think when I'm in a good mood/having a good day, then I definitely feel pretty :D
@antisoccermom@xanga - For God's sake, shut the fuck up about people stealing your material. I've heard you bitch about it before, and let me enlighten you to the simple, basic fact that if you're going to write about bland, everyday occurrences or thoughts, your material is bound to overlap with other people's. When you write a dissertation on the parallels between modern art and the life cycle of the fruit fly and see it somewhere else, THEN get back to me.

I feel pretty on those days I get enough sleep and I wake up looking nice and refreshed. It's a bit superficial to say the least but whatever...
I feel prettiest when I dress up very nice and do my hair up and the first thing my boyfriend says when he sees me is, "Wow! You look really nice today baby." =>

Good grief at the first few answers. People need to CHILL. Wow. Way to over-react to something that probably has very little to do with your site. If you have such a paranoia about people ripping your site off, then here's an idea, MAKE IT PRIVATE. Or, even better, block certain people. Whatever you are pissed about, it is NOT worth flipping the hell out and going ballistic in a public forum. If you are mad, show some class, and just send a flipping message. It makes YOU look bad to be seen going off the deep end. And please don't hit reply and spin off some smart a*s reply towards me. Remember, it makes YOU look bad to have your battles in a public forum. Send a message, and be aware that I probably won't feed your fire by responding. But, if you must spout off, do it in a classier way. As for this question being so original that it deserved being ripped off, sorry, but I've asked people what makes them feel their best and feel pretty on a weekly basis. Kudos, however, if you did it in a public forum-but I highly doubt this site stole your stuff. Just make your Xanga private to everyone but your subscribers or your friends, and that should solve your issues.
Feeling "pretty" does not make one superficial. It simply means that a person is happy with their self and the way that they look that day.
And, as far as when I feel pretty, I feel my best after a great shower, and I've taken the time to straighten my hair and put on my makeup the way it should be put on. Those are my pretty days.
