  • Product Crush: Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils

    I used to have this major problem with eyeliner. I would put some on in the morning and by the time I came home, there would be smudge marks on the corners and under my eyes. This would frustrate me to no end. I tried the waterproof eyeliner; by the time I was ready to take it off at the end of the day, I basically had to scrub my eyes dry to get it off and I would still wake up in the morning looking like a raccoon!

    But then, I discovered the most amazing eyeliner ever -- the 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils. Urban Decay has a series of pencil eyeliner that is waterproof, goes on smoothly with no smudging, and is easy to take off with makeup remover at the end of the day. At $16 a pop, I thought this was going to be a bust, but it turns out to be a really big bang-for-your-buck. Urban Decay offers this product in a wide range of colors from bright aquamarine to bourbon.

    What products have you discovered to be a perfect addition to your make-up bag? What eyeliner do you use?

    I kind of gave up on eyeliner, but I heard UD is awesome for eyeliner. But what I do for eyeliner I started using a heavily pigmented eyeshadow on a super thin brush. I find it works a lot better and it's easier to put on and control.

    I use an eyeliner brush(super cheap at WalMart) and eyeshadow. It always matches my makeup and is super-easy, doesn't smudge, and comes off easy.

    i like prestige waterproof eyeliner because of the same reason. They don't smudge by the end of the day and it erases with makeup remover.

    oOOooo interestinggg.. i love Mac's Pearlglide eye liner !! they're awesome...

    what's better, this liner? or the macs??

    I have Deviant (the bright royal blue) and while it's an awesome eye-catching color, it smudges on me

    I use MAC fluidline.  It doesn't smudge.  But I realized that all this time, the thing that was causing raccoon eyes and most of my smudges was mascara.  Any kind of mascara will smudge on me.  So now I use false eyelashes :)

    I find that Urban Decay Primer Potion helps with the prevention of eyeliner smudges too.

    surprisingly, urban is the eyeliner i live by!


    however, i just recently lost my pencilT.T


    and being the broke student i am...i literally have no money to even dish the 20 so dollars for it.  back to an old kohl eye liner for me>.<

    I just use the eyeliner produced by Muji (a Japanese variety brand).
    It's easy to fix but stays on well too.

    I use Revlon ColorStay Liquid Eyeliner. It never comes off! Nor does it ever break and chip off! Its the best liquid.

    I still like the Urban Decay Glide-On. It's really awesome for the smokey eye effect.

    Best thing to get off make-up and clean your face

    Spree: Baby Oil

    Splurge: Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil (this stuff works magic!)

    I have been using Benefit's Bad Girl eyeliner for quite awhile, it
    smudges, but not as bad as other brands I've tried. But I figured that
    if you use the eyeliner on top of eye shadow, it doesn't smudge as bad!

    Will try out Urban Decay.

    I had been using CoverGirl Perfect Point Plus set with Maybelline eye shadow, which stays on until I wipe my eyes after school. But I want to try this out now; thanks for sharing!

    MAC LIQUIDLAST!! I feel like I'm the only supporter of this!!  Anybody else swear by this???

     It literally stays on all day!! I've tried Bobbi Brown gel liner, MAC fluidline, tons of pencils, and they all fade by the end of the day. 

    Liquidlast is amazing!! I becah, swim, go to the gym, with this stuff on!!

    You all should try it!! or at least go to MAC and try it on!!

    It's AMAZING.

    I use Stila Smudgepot.


    I tried the Urban Decay eyeliners and they smudged like crazy on me, but if used with their primer potion it stays on really well. The colors are really pretty. I think you can get like 4-5 of the eyeliners in a giftpack for a reasonable price at sephora.

    I just got sephora's brand eyeliners the other day for my birthday in all sorts of colors. Purple, blue, green, and black. They are AMAZING (: I suggest them for a cheaper suggestion.

    I absolutely love Urban Decay eyeliners.  They have two mini sets of 5, one in neutrals and another in bright rainbow colors.  I bought them both.  I think they're about $29 each.  Great buy.  I love how they really do just glide on.  I've had trouble with other eyeliners because they'd always pull at my skin.

    @linh_olindzay@xanga - revlon pencil smudges on me =( .. it used to work, but now it smudges like crazy.. i have no idea why..? and i stopped using the revlon liquid eyeliner cuz when i take it off at the end of the day, the eyeliner gets INSIDE my eye.. and i had to pick off pieces from my eyeball.. which.. is not good. (it was ok cuz i wear contacts so im used to poking my eye, but i was worried) i don't have this problem with other eyeliner tho.


    now i use red earth eyeliner. never used to like their products, but a friend got this for me and it works surprisingly well. goes on smoothly and stays on with no smudging =)

    @jing116@xanga - I always had trouble with the clumps of crap getting into my eyes when i washed off my face too. My mom is an esthetician. She told me to wash twice if i have on eye make up. The first time is to get all the gunk off and the second is to actually wash your face.

    try taking a tissue and dab baby oil on it and wipe off your eyes first, then use your regular face wash (2x). I have contacts too and it doesn't affect my eyes at all. It gets it all off.
