  • Need Some Extra Face Time?

    Guest blog submitted by two_days_until_forever

Don't tell me you haven't heard anything about this effective and popular drugstore scrub. I see it everywhere -- even Eva Mendes has dropped its name. If you have been living under a rock (just kidding) or somehow unaware of this product, just go out and buy it now. Trust me on this one.

I like to use the scrub before I wash my face. I feel that this helps remove nastiness from my pores so that my cleanser can better penetrate my skin. Plus, the scrub can be a little hard to completely take off with water. I always find a few particles remaining on my face, which my cleanser will then take care of.

Facial scrubs in general are recognized for their ability to remove dead skin cells and give your skin a fresh glow. Many are a little harsh, where you can only use them twice a week. St. Ives Apricot Scrub is gentle enough for you to use every day. The scrub beads do not irritate the skin at all.

Personally, I do not like apricots, but the wonderful results for my skin are enough for me to stay around. The scrub is available in three different lines from St. Ives - Invigorating (for normal skin), Blemish Control (for oily/acne prone skin), and last but not least, Aging Skin. Choose whichever scrub you feel will best accommodate your personal skin type.

What facial cleanser do you use? Do you find that a lot of them are too tough on your skin?
