Guest blog submitted by CrissySomedays I love volume: waves, curls, frizzes. They're beautiful.
I haven't seen many people wear their natural hair anymore. Has anyone seen
ABC News investigation study over curly vs. straight? A woman had natural gorgeous curls and groups viewed her as being messy or a distraction. When people judged her as a person, straight hair had made her look cocky, so the curls won over!
Be comfortable with what you have. I love wild and straight hair.
Once upon a time, I even disliked my natural hair.
If you have curly or wavy hair, you can't easily get away with doing the same things as straight hair. I know it may seem gross but don't brush your hair. My hair is not a big dread, believe me. You don't want to brush it out because it becomes all frizzy like Hermione from the first movie... unless you're into that. Otherwise, it may scare people to grab their straighteners. Conditioner is my best friend. I detangle my hair with my fingers. I only blow dry when necessary (when I'm going out and I'm dripping water) and I use frizz serums.
If you want to cut your hair, please make sure you ask for a hairstylist that
specializes in curly hair. You don't want to cut your hair while it's wet. I'm sure some of you know what I'm talking about!
The only way I
enhance my waves is by putting my hair up in a messy bun or doing lots of braids (french braids come out cuter!). I know some people "crunch" their hair but it never worked for me even with mousse. Conair has a small selection of soft curlers you can bend and wear comfortably to bed.

My Hair Naturally Has A Mind, Of It's Own. One Morning I Will Wake Up With Pin Down Hair And The Next, It Will Become Just So Curly And Wavy. I Adore All Three, Type's Of Style And It's Very Good To Change Up The Way Your Hair Look's From Time To Time. ^-^
I firmly believe in embracing your curls if you have them. It literally makes me sad when I meet girls with naturally curly hair who strangle their waves with constant straightening. It's not healthy and it would look just as beautiful curly, but since straight hair is often (in my opinion) valued more than curly hair in the media, a lot of girls think they'd look better if they didn't have their curls. I usually wear my hair curly, but I'll straighten it occasionally, just for a change. I live in a very humid city, though, so it doesn't usually stay very straight for very long.
I have curly hair, but i wear my hair both ways, curly if i want a flirty look and go with soft make up or straight hair and edegy make up.
but i like to change it up!:)
i love both curly and straight! i love to shower in the morning and let my hair dry naturally. then it's a little bit wavy and i wear it like that for the rest of the day! sometimes i scrunch it with mousse for more curls and other times i'll straighten it with a flat iron.
I love wavy and straight.
I get really mad when people with nice curls hate their hair. I mean, they have SUPER curls, really nice, no frizz, not puffy and they want straight hair.
I for one, have puffy, frizzy EXTREMELY thick curls. Everyone says they have extremely thick hair, but I for one, have had my hair dresser (on many, many, MANY occasions) confirm that I have 6 times the amount of hair someone with *thick* hair has.
Uh huh.
So I love my curls, I just can't stand the curly/poofiness. And I have found that when my hair is straightened, it's just less frizzy, more manageable and feels less thick and heavy. I just find it stupid when people with nice, beautiful curls hate their hair.Â
ok, that made no sense. in the last paragraph, I meant
"frizzy/poofiness" not "curly/poofiness"LOL :)
