I am an avid face washer. I practically look forward to it every night because it makes me feel refreshed. It's also a common beauty rule to always wash your face at night because it helps keep skin clear and healthy. What I usually neglected to do was take my eye makeup off, or at least all of it. Whatever my face scrub didn't take off (due to my copious amounts of eyeliner and mascara) I usually just slept with.
Well I read a few weeks ago that it's just as important to take off eye makeup, not just foundation and whatever else is on your face (call me naive). They emphasized it for the people that wear a lot of makeup and use contacts: the two things that fit my description perfectly. Oops.
The last thing I want to do is spend another 12 minutes in front of my mirror scrubbing off my Amy Winehouse-like eyeliner. I couldn't imagine how long it'd take, especially since just my face scrub couldn't even remove it all. Fortunately, I discovered that just buying makeup remover specifically designed for eye makeup helps immensely. I use
Eyes Off, it feels nice against the skin and doesn't smell like nail polish remover. It takes more like two minutes to take off my eye makeup, not 12. Which means I have 10 extra minutes to sleep; a godsend for us college kids.
Do you make sure to remove your makeup every night? What products do you use?

this is seriously best product to take off eye makeup. i rarely wear it, but when i do, it's to experiment (which gets super messy)...though with this, everything wipes off within 10 seconds. it's great :).
if you really want to get all ur make up off they have nutrigena face wipes. I use them in make up class when I do full face make up.Â
Garnier Nutritioniste Nutri-Pure Detoxifying Wet Cleansing Towelettes for my face makeup, and sometimes I use L'Oreal Eye Makeup Remover when I need a little more help. I heard that using an oil cleanser (like Laura Mercier's or Shu Uemura's) is wonderful for loosening makeup product and makes it less difficult to take off.

I don't usually wear makeup.
i use a make-up remover from Aveda.
i should take my make-up off everynight but sometimes i get lazy....
oh yes those eye makeup remover are fabulous! It just comes off so easily. I use almay eyemakeup remover. It is really good. If you want to go expensive, lancome eye makeup remover is awesome too! I ALWAYS remove my makeup every night as well. I cringe at those girls that don't. I use a cleanser, toner, and moisterizer every night!
I never wear make-up. I ocassionally wear mascara, if I feel like I look really sleepy.. But other than that, I go naked (on my face) lol.
lancome bi-facial double action eye makeup remover. amazing. it's a little oily but only takes a few seconds and you'll see a glob of eye makeup go from your face to your cotton ball.
why use something expensive with chemicals that stings? i just use vaseline to take stuff off my eyes. tyra banks even uses it! you can use it on your lips, chaffed skin (if it's safe enough for babies, it's more than safe for you). it's also the only way i've found that removes stuff without stinging your eyes, and it also moisturizes
hahhaa. i obviously had a few typos...."take off my eyes." rofl
nevermind....i thought i had said that...guess i did not. lol....i'm a goof today
i don't wear makeup very often and i wear glasses not contacts. however, when i do wear it, i try and wash it off, but i just use water. no products for me. and i definitely don't get it all off. but i make sure i get it off the next morning in the shower. i should probably be more healthy and get it all off before i sleep. maybe i will if i start wearing makeup more.
Yes, I find Garnier make up remover the best. Also, I like a little bit of leftover make up in the eye. You wake up the next morning looking a little bit smokey eyed. I wish I could attain that look without using 'leftovers'.
I usually don't wear make-up anymore because even if I wash it all off I still break out a lot
Not to mention, eye make-up can give you sty. Yuck. The eyeliner and what not blocks your pores, so stuff builds up in there.
I learned that the hard way.
I don't use that much eyeliner, so my face wash cleans it easily.

the eye makeup remover from clinique is great, its not oily and it takes everything right off
Why is it so important? I don't take off my eye makeup for days on end (except that which gets smeared below my eyes) AND I wear contacts.
wow i didn't know it was that important to take off eye make up. i would just leave it on 'cause it's a pain to take it off.
The only thing I'm terrible about taking off is mascara. Even using eye makeup remover, it seems like such a hassle.
I'm lazy. I just wash my face & sleep on whatever residual is left over. I figure what doesn't come off at night will either be on the pillow (i dont care) or wash off the next morn. haha. ohwell.
I don't always wear makeup, but when I do, I make sure to get everything off. My mom sells Mary Kay, so I use their oil-free eye makeup remover along with cleanser and moisturizer. The oil-free eye makeup remover works like a charm. Especially on mascara! :)
i use baby oil to take off my eye makeup, its just annoying as hell wiping off the oil before you wash your face....and sometimes i forgot to do that altogether, especially after a long night of partying or if i fall asleep studying....but i heard not washing your face and not removing eye makeup can make you get wrinkles at an earlier age O_o idk though. maybe thats just something my mom made up so i'd wash my face every night lol
honestly, i just use the cheap walgreens brand and they work like a charm!
I always take my makeup off every night. I use the Neutrogena face wipes first, then a facial cleanser. I'm sure there still some residue of makeup left over though.
