Pores can be pretty annoying. They can get clogged and create breakouts and blackheads and they even get bigger as we age. Ugh. While pores don’t open and close like doors, they are ways to make them look less visible…

Physical exfoliation

The first thing you’ll need for this method is a physical exfoliator. That means, you need a product with small beads or granules that, like the name implies, will remove dead and dry skin from your complexion. Do this nightly after you wash your face.

Chemical exfoliation

Now that you’ve sloughed off the top layer of dry skin, it’s time to chemically exfoliate. This means you’ll want to apply a serum with alpha hydroxyl acids to your skin after your scrub. These have natural fruit acids that will take the exfoliation a step further, deep into pores to make them appear smaller. Bonus? A serum with AHAs will also help to keep your pores clear of blackheads and breakouts! [via Byrdie]
