London is one of the coolest cities in the world! It is a bustling urban area filled with cool people and amazing things to see, not to mention lots of shopping and good food. Some of the most well-known sights can be found here.¬†I was lucky enough to take a trip to the UK myself recently¬†and thought I might share some of my favorite things with you…

I was such a tourist and wasn’t ashamed one bit. It was a dream come true to see London town and seeing all of the famous tourist spots was surreal. The Tower Bridge was one of my favorites because it’s beautiful and has some pops of color that really make it stand out. The bright red telephone booths were another favorite because they were a London necessity! The shot of the phone booth and Big Ben is one of the best ones of the trip.

Whenever I travel, one of the things I look forward to the most is eating out and experiencing all of the food that my destinations have to offer. London has an innumerable of restaurants and I wish I could try them all! And since you’re close to other fabulous places, like Italy and France, you can bet that you will get a variety of awesome cuisine. I had some great Italian food, Indian food, as well as Moroccan tea for afternoon tea. I also enjoyed a glass of wine or two, clearly.
I know that my fellow Harry Potter nerds will appreciate this picture. I had the privileged of going to the Harry Potter Studios where much of the movies were filmed and where most of the props were display and took the tour. It was totally incredible! My favorite part was the scale model of Hogwarts Castle which was breathtaking. (And so grand that I had to use a special app to crop it for Instagram to capture the beauty.) They used this to shoot many of the glorious shots of the castle in the movie and the attention to detail was great. My friend and I also tried butter beer! This Harry Potter fan was very very happy.

Oddly enough, we only caught about an hour of rain total while we were in the UK. I was ready for the infamous London rain and was shocked to see clear blue skies and sunshine. Apparently, I brought the California sun with me! On our last day we saw a bit of rain and it was very relaxing at this water-front restaurant and pub, drinking some cider and watching the rain. I’m glad that we got the experience but I can’t say I wasn’t happy to see sun. Seeing the sights was much more pleasant without being rained on!

Before we headed back home to the states, we visited a small town in the English countryside and it was just about the cutest thing ever. I have never seen such green rolling hills and cute rustic homes! This picture is a very accurate representation of UK homes because they are mostly made of brick and look the same but have their own personalities with unique colorful doors. I really enjoyed seeing the more calm and peaceful parts of the country as well, it was a relaxing change of pace after running around London.

Lovelies, have you ever been to London? Would you like to go?
