I know fashion always has these crazy rules, like no white after labor day and you can't wear rain boots when it isn't raining. Well, when it comes to fashion I guess you could say I'm a rule breaker. For example, who is going to follow the rule that pastels are solely a spring color? Not me!

I am super excited to incorporate powdery pinks, purples and yellows into my fall wardrobe. And I'm even more excited to use some of these outfit ideas to make them work!

Pair a pastel sweater with dark wash or grey jeans. This look is super comfy and cozy for fall, and the oxford flats give the outfit a back-to-school feel. You can find a light pink sweater like this one along with other pastels in J. Crew's Cashmere Shop!

Rock the blazer. The plaid in this look is super reminiscent of fall fashion, and the warm red and orange hues of the shirt contrast beautifully with the soft iciness of the pastel shades. You can put together a similar ensemble with these items from Banana Republic!

Do pastel on the bottom and darker on top. These light blue pants lend a nice accent to the dark blazer and black shoes. Francesca's sells pants just like them on its site!

This one is simple: get a pastel coat! I love how this outfit pairs the soft pink jacket with light greys and other neutral colors. The contrasts aren't too overwhelming, and the pink is subtle yet bold at the same time.

Add of pop of pastel with your accessories! With a darker or neutral outfit, pastel jewelry, nails or scarves will give the outfit that extra kick without being too overwhelming. You can find a ton of cute pastel jewelry at Forever 21!

What do you think about rocking pastels for fall, Lovelies?
