Do your feet hurt in heels? Do you enjoy throw back styles and androgynous footwear? I answered yes to those questions, so naturally I’m crazy about the style of shoes called brogues. Brogues are shoes that are modeled after menswear from long ago. I love them, I think they are the perfect accessory to my style, which I what I would describe as a merger between Ramona Quimby and Clarissa Darling trapped in the world of The Mighty Boosh. What I mean to say is, my style is eclectic. The beauty of the brogue is that they can range in style from the extremely eccentric to the posh and fashionable — which I think makes them an essential addition to your closets. You can wear them with dresses or jeans, shorts and skirts, they are fantastic. Take a look a look at ten of my favorite brogues and tell me you don’t want a pair!

I am so into these Asos Morris Flats, they would be too cute with black skinny jeans and a plain tee shirt.

Dr. Martin Bentley Brogue Boots give a tougher look to brogues, and I must have them for all my leggings.

These Paul Smith Foster Only Brogues are so freaking adorable, I see a whole nerdy librarian look in my future.

Frye Arkansas Brogue Boots make me want to twirl in a field! Put them together with some sheer socks for a cute look.

Robert Clergerie Demilee  patent leather creeper brogues… they are my life! I would go simple with everything else you’re wearing and let these bad boys be the spotlight of your outfit.

I love everything Victorian, and these Dr. Martin Gretchen Brogue Boots remind me of the boots the women used to wear in old train station photos. I am seriously buying these and wearing them with everything!

Okay, how cute would these Woleverine 1883 Horace brogues look with a denim on denim outfit?

You could wear these Steve Madden Kickstar1 Brogues with almost anything. I like using brown as a neutral and I love the pop of hot pink!

Paul Smith Bassie Kiltie Only Brogues make me want to expand my cute girly dress collection. I would also wear them with shorts and tights.

Paul Smith Herbert Only Brogues are the quintessential black leather brogue. You can never go wrong with a pair like this. They will literally go with anything!

Would you wear brogues? Do you already own a pair? Which pair is your favorite?
