Typically, I like painting my nails the same neutral color year round, but when summer rolls around, all I want to do is buy every bright color from the Essie display at Target.

After over a month of summer nail-polishing, I've found that there are about six colors in my polish rotation, and these are my absolute favorites:

Bikini So Teeny - I can't keep myself away from this color this summer. Even if I can't squeeze in a blue blouse or accessory, this nail color is the perfect way to add a little pop to my outfit every day, without being too over the top.

Cute as a Button -  This is my favorite bubblegum pink. It's the perfect cross between bright pink and coral for summer, and looks perfect on fingers and toes.

Geranium - Although it is a little on the orange-y side, this bright red is perfect for warmer months. While the colder seasons lend themselves more to deeper, darker reds, summer is the perfect time to rock a vibrant red on your fingers and your toes.

Sand Tropez - To be honest, this is my go-to year round. It's the perfect neutral shade, but I do find it appropriate in the summer as well as the winter.

Miami Nice - This is easily my favorite color to use for pedicures. The deep fuchsia color is bright enough for summer and has the perfect amount of shimmer.

Turquoise and Caicos - Turquoise is the quintessential summer color. June through August is the only time of year such a bright color is appropriate for daily wear, and I take full advantage.

Lovelies, what are your go-to summer nail polish colors?
