Since I'm moving soon, I'm already getting my apartment inspiration in order. I figure that it's a fresh start, and I really want to make this apartment memorable and as inspiring as I can. If you're feeling a little blah about your living quarters, get inspired and have some fun with color!

1. Make an eyesore into something beautiful.
You know that thing that you hate the most about your space, but you can't really change it up too much because it's a necessity? Try and find a way to re-invent it. I've decided that I'm going to be putting some washi tape on my ugly (but unavoidable) computer cords, what would you change about your apartment?

2. Keep plants in the house.
Plants always cheer me up, and it always makes a place a little more inviting, don't you think? I'm obsessed with these planters... they're so cute.

3. Add some fun pops of color in the kitchen with some mismatched chairs.
One of my favorite things about Friends is Monica's quirky kitchen. There were so many colorful, fun pieces, and that part of the house just seemed so welcoming and laid-back, even though she was the most organized character on the show.

4. Change it up with textiles.
Colorful textiles are a great way to add some color to your living space without having to spend a fortune on new furniture. They're so easy to switch up, just in case you're feeling a different color on a whim.

5. Stock up on colorful glassware for your kitchen.
I love depression glass, and it's fun to mix it up a bit with your kitchen accessories. It's the little things, right?

6. Don't neglect your outdoor area!
I've never done much with any front porch/backyard area of any place I've ever lived. Change it up with a bright doormat, fun address letters/numbers out front or paint your mailbox a fun color. It can really give your place some character!
