After working in salons for 6 years, I am enjoying a break from coloring my hair. I decided that when I stopped working in the salon, I wasn’t going to cut or dye my hair for as long as I could stand it. I have no idea what my natural hair does, it has been so processed for so many years. Its been a few months, long enough for me to have nearly 3 inch roots of my natural color, which is really exciting to me for some reason.
However, every now and then, I get the itch to do something dramatic with my hair and I long for change. It was way to easy for way too long to change my look at the drop of a hat, and at times, I miss that. One of my friends texted me this morning to ask what I thought about her dying her hair purple, and of course I say to go for it! It’s a super exciting change for someone who has that hair and the guts for it. I, at this moment, do not… but my friend certainly does and maybe you do! Here are some amazingly bizarre hair colors to try (or at least admire).
Would you try any of these hair colors? Do you have a favorite?

The pastels are great, but I’m pretty sure you would have to bleach the hell out of it, which destroys your hair (unfortunately).

I love all of these. Damn the effort it would take to get my dark hair to any of these shades!

If I was a natural blonde, I would so try all of these. Not worth all of the bleaching.

I’m actually cool with my hair as-is. I will eventually chop it, but I have to wait until wedding season is over.

I have already had some of these colors and was planning on getting the light blue in a month or so. I love being a house wife, no job interviews to go to therefore I get whatever crazy hair I want!

I like the light pink with blonde a lot and also the pink & purple. I would do something like this, but I’m not sure what my job would have to say about it.

When I grow really old I will dye my hair into these fun colors.
I have had light teal hair in the past…I can’t anymore, because of my workplace.

Holy Moly I love all of these, I wish I could work just 1!!!! but sadly, probably not

@accumulations@xanga - Why don’t you think you can? It’s all about confidence in yourself.

I LOVE THESE! I especially love the first picture of the dyed gray hair. It looks so pretty! I’ve been wanting to dye my hair white for ages, but I have to be employable v.v …. I long for the day that I can do something awesome with my hair. Right now I’m stuck just growing it out *sighs*

Beautiful colors. I’d love to try them sometime.

I’d totally love to dye my hair a light pink.

The dark to neon gradient hair is something I’d like to try. Haha I’ll just have to bleach half of my extremely dark hair. :[

I’ve done the orange. I thought it looked pretty cool, but the harassment from my coworkers(“LILU DALLAS MULTI-PASS?!”) eventually got to me..I’ve been wanting to try silver though..

I saw a man in Wal*Mart last week and he had pink hair.. he was with a small boy, I assume his son. i wonder what his kid thought. I live in a conservative area, so this was sort of shocking.

@TulleSkirts@xanga - I also tended to have conservative hair cuts and color since I worked in a stuffy gov’t office.. Odd colors would have been looked down on.

These are good if you’re going for a certain look (e.g. goth, alternative) but good luck getting people to take you seriously in the professional work with these shades.

I love, LOVE dyed hair, especially if it’s something outrageous!!! My work won’t allow any non-natural colors, unfortunately
I’ve also decided to grow out my hair without putting products in it for a while, but about 7 years ago I decided to dye my hair bright pink!! I looked like an anime character :-3 I still miss it. . . 3 cheers for wigs!!

i would never die my hair such drastic colors… i still debate whether i want highlights for myself or not. but these pics are nice to look at. i don’t think everyone could pull it off as well as these girls do. it’s also hard to achieve the right shades… i hear lots of horror stories if people trying to dye their hair pink and it ends up turning orange or something…

I’m a natural honey blonde and my hair’s red now (: but when I go back to my natural colour I really would love to do something with teal in my hair.. whether it’s the tips, streaks, or all over (though I’m not sure). I like the second to last pic :3
guest
My favorite is the second to last one. I want magenta streaks in my hair, or even rainbow streaks, but I have to look professional. Besides, my hair is naturally very dark and I don’t want to have to bleach it.

i love all the colors!!!

I might do the red for halloween. I’m planing on being Little Red Riding Hood. Like the not so sweet and innocent version. I’d do temp blonde/gold dye first, then the red over it.

Love them! Don’t have the guts to try them out though.
