Inspired by an illustration by Eduardo Garcia Benito that appeared on one of Cecil Beaton's covers of Vogue in 1931, Acne's latest pieces feature Art Deco-era sketches and bold figures. While I can't get enough of these pieces (and the history behind them), it's really the silhouettes of the one-shoulder, full-skirted "Callas" gown and wide-leg, paper-bag "Thelma" pants that have me wanting to 'borrow' a sailboat for some play-hooky cruising.

These are definitely the outfits that I am wearing in my daydreams... they're so artistic, bold and colorful.

I'm also digging the blue lipstick on the models.

This is the perfect shade of blue, don't you think?

That's it... I'm investing in some head scarves this season. This one is too pretty!

Basic black with patterned shoes and a headscarf. Perfect! [via Refinery 29]
