I have no problem openly admitting that I enjoy watching the Keeping Up With The Kardashians and Kim & Kourtney Take Miami. Although, I do not always agree with their decisions or behavior, I do find their complex family dynamic quite entertaining. I am well aware that this crazy brood elicits mixed responses from their audience, both positive and negative. For the most part, I understand all the various opinions that people have about them, but I think that they are a crazy bunch of beautiful people and I enjoy watching their family drama unfold on television whether it's real or fake. Most of all I love their fashion choices!
Speaking of fashion, I have to say that I am quite impressed with Kim's pregnancy style. I like that she is not hiding in leggings and oversized t-shirts; instead, she is embracing her pregnancy. She is staying true to herself and wearing the clothes that she feels comfortable wearing. It just so happens that she is only wearing the top designers, but what else did you expect? Kim is usually hit or miss when it comes to fashion, but I think that her pregnancy style has been better than some or her pre-pregnancy moments!
I am so tired of reading about or hearing about all the negativity surrounding her pregnancy from the media. So I was glad to see that other A-List celebrities are finally speaking out against the bullying and supporting Kim.
“It is disgusting and despicable” the way that certain media constantly harass the pregnant Kim Kardashian … a public bullying and attacking of a pregnant woman because of her growing shape is just lower than low … No one should ever be publicly judged for their body, but to attack an expecting mother is sacrilegious and just plain wrong. A pregnant woman should not be criticized for her shape, period!!” – Helena Christensen
“I think that women should support each other, especially through pregnancy. It’s a difficult time and I think Kim Kardashian looks absolutely beautiful. And we’re supposed to gain weight when we’re pregnant — that’s how God intended it.” – Gwyneth Paltrow
“She’s just so happy to be pregnant and to be moving on to a different time in her life. I love that she has embraced it and that she is still wearing whatever she wants to wear. I’m kind of jealous. I like it.” – Molly Sims
“I think women being pregnant should just be left alone. As a woman who went through that, you’re already feeling like something foreign took over your body. And to have everybody commenting on it, that’s tough. Let her wear what she wants. She’s so beautiful — with a face like that, who cares what your body’s doing?” –Sara Blakely, founder of Spanx [via People Magazine]
Although I have yet to be pregnant, from what I hear from close family and friends, it is a beautiful process, but it can really take a toll on your body. Pregnancy is magnificent and people should respect it — especially other women that have been in Kim’s shoes! The last thing you want to hear, as a pregnant woman is someone commenting on your weight! Also, I love that she is wearing heels as much as possible, I was told that wearing heels throughout the pregnancy keeps your feet from going up a size.
Also, those people who are obsessed with her weight gain should think about how much effort it must take to maintain her figure. She is a petite person with lots of curves, which means that a little weight gain on her looks much more drastic than on someone like Kate Middleton.
Essentially, my point is everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion, but at this point it has been months of discussion about her style and weight and we still have a few more months before the delivery. Can we please talk about something else?
