It's been ages since Glee has actually done something sincerely funny or contributed something significant to the television industry as their last two seasons have seen a noticeable tank in ratings (they had their hey-day during its first and second seasons which included three Golden Globe Awards in 2011 and five Satellite Awards in 2009.) But I have to give them credit where credit is due because the series decided to do an episode about musical feuds last week and one of their performances got my nostalgia (and lady business) going when they cut together a mash-up of two 90's boy band heavy-hitters.

Yup. A musical mash-up of N*SYNC's "Bye Bye Bye" and the Backstreet Boys' "I Want It That Way." Is nostalgic tinnitus a thing? Because I swear I can hear a distinct ringing in my ears from the screaming girls that swooned over these two songs over a decade ago. I have to applaud Glee because though they've really taken a downward spiral with critics and, in my opinion, with their storylines, their mash-ups have always been consistently awesome and creative.

Granted, this episode also featured Jane Lynch dressed up as Nicki Minaj and a guy singing "How To Be A Heartbreaker" by Marina & the Diamonds. So. Kind of cancels it all out.

Lovelies, what do you think of the mash-up? Do boy bands still do it for you?
