YouTube user soulpancake released a motivational and humorous video entitled, “A Pep Talk from Kid President to You” which garnered over 11 million views since it was initially released late last month.
I’m usually skeptical about watching viral videos (Harlem Shake was a bit disappointing despite all the buzz about it) but I took a chance on Kid President because it was listed on TED Talks (a website featuring a plethora of videos with “ideas worth spreading”). Not only was I thoroughly amused by this video, but I was ultimately invigorated by its simple core message, “You were made to be awesome. Let’s get out there! I don’t know everything, I’m just a kid, but I do know this: It’s everybody’s duty to do good, and give the world a reason to dance.”
Kid President quotes the band Journey, poet Robert Frost and adds a clever spin on their famous sayings. At the conclusion of the video, Kid President urges the viewer to share his message with someone who encourages you. That’s why I’m passing it along to you! I hope this sweet video inspires you to do good.
What do you think of Kid President, Lovelies? Who will you share this video with?

I saw this video in my Development Psychology class recently. This was my first time watching this video, and I loved it!
