We've all been here: You have a favorite blush/bronzer/face powder/eye shadow that you use absolutely every day and take with you every place you go. One day while using your precious primping accoutrement it accidentally slips out of your hand, falling to the ground and shattering into a million pieces. Or say you accidentally set down your makeup bag too hard and the product just crumbles.
No matter what method, having a broken powder product flat-out sucks. Luckily there is a solution to this problem that doesn't include buying a brand new one.
All you need is:
- Rubbing alcohol - 70% or higher, and make sure it's not the sort with a minty scent.
- Plastic wrap
- A spoon
- Some patience
First, put a few drops of rubbing alcohol in the broken product. Seems scary but trust me, it will not damage your makeup.
Place a sheet of plastic wrap over the mixture and use the back of a spoon or your finger to smush everything together and smooth it out to perfection.
Remove the plastic wrap and let the product sit, unopened (preferably somewhere cool and dry) overnight.
The next day your product will be back to normal!
Lovelies, what do you think of this makeup fix? Have you tried it before?
