I am so very pleased to announce that after literally years of lusting, a couple of weeks ago I finally acquired my very own Clarisonic Mia!

I know that I'm pretty late in the game on this one, but I am really obsessed with mine. I wanted to share with y'all my experience with this amazing face brush.

After several weeks deliberating how I should spend some Christmas gift certificates, it finally dawned on me: The Clarisonic I've been coveting for so many years!

Upon my decision, I rushed to the Space N.K. (basically  my favorite beauty shop ever) at the Soho location of Bloomingdales.

After a lengthy deliberation (much to my accompanying boyfriend and patient sales associate's dismay) between the Mia and Mia 2, I decided to make the most of my gift certificate by going with the less expensive Mia so that I could also purchase a skincare product. The Mia 2 costs $50 more and really just has the benefit of an additional speed setting. I still feel pretty darn good about my decision.

I took my new baby home, and got it all charged up. That night after removing my  make up and slathering on a bit of Bobbi Brown Soothing Cleansing Oil, I excitedly used my Clarisonic Mia for the first time.

The Clarisonic was created by the same people who made the Sonicare toothbrush, and honestly it feels like you are using a huge Sonicare toothbrush all over your face. I used to think that the Clarisonic just scrubbed your face, but it really just uses sonic vibrations to deeply extract dirt and impurities from deep down in your pores.

With that being said, for the first week or so I did experience some breakouts seeing as my skin was basically being purged. It was nothing too bad though, and I really feel my Mia helped clear them up right away.

I am now a couple weeks in, and I am already seeing a huge improvement in my skin. Reduced breakouts, blackheads and fine lines. My skin feels so clean but not stripped or raw, not to mentioned it is so beyond smooth.

My goal is to eventually not have to wear any face makeup (in the picture above, I'm makeup-free but strategically placed my Mia to cover a huge zit!), and everyone who I've ever asked that has beautiful skin without a stitch of makeup always says their Clarisonic is their saving grace. I hope I can achieve my goal!

Lovelies, what do you think of the Clarisonic? Do you use one?
