Blake Lively is definitely one of the most beautiful and fashionable ladies of Hollywood, but it took a lot of time for the Gossip Girl to develop her glamorous style. While the color definitely suits her, the dress does not really do the, at the time, up-and-coming star justice. It is a bit short and looks more like something someone would wear on a day to the beach than to a red carpet event. Plus the long, chain necklace is seems more like an accessory for a young high schooler and the silver flats just don’t really go with the dress. While her natural glow and sun-kissed hair show off Blake’s beauty, she would still have much more to go before she became one of the best dressed ladies on TV.

This is a totally upgraded, sophisticated version of Blake’s Teen Choice Award’s outfit. The sunny gown is simply beautiful in the way it flows and drape’s Blake body; the material is nice and airy and the waist creates a great silhouette. Paired with a polished fishtail braid, eye-catching blue earrings, and boho bangles the entire look is glamorous yet still combines Blake’s warm, summery style to the entire ensemble.
