Kate Middleton turned 31 yesterday, a fact that surprisingly flew under my radar until now. I don’t particularly care about the Royal Family, but I do admire Kate and her amazing sense of style. Any time she hits a red carpet or event, I’m eagerly looking up every angle of her outfit on the fashion blogs. But the mom-to-be has been rather off the radar lately, what with the pregnancy and the chronic morning sickness, and she spent her birthday at home with William and her family. Nevertheless, the occasion still gives us an excuse to take a look at some of Kate’s best fashion moments!
That teal Jenny Packham dress up top will forever and always be my favorite. It’s simply jaw-droppingly gorgeous, and that lace detail blows my mind. But the Duchess also looks splendid in casual wear, as the gallery shows, and her choice of coats is always beyond reproach. I hope she starts feeling better soon so we get a glimpse of the adorable maternity wear she’s sure to don this year!

I’ll admit that she has great style, but come on there is more to her than just her fashion choices. A more interesting late birthday tribute to Princess Kate Middleton would have been to focus on her charity work, causes, and interests (not her pregnancy, not her weight, not her style). Being lovely is fine, but I think sometimes Lovelyish should live up to its motto.

I absolutely agree with what you said, but I think it is really an ‘each to his/her own’ thing of what one feels is an “interesting late birthday tribute” to the Duchess. I really appreciate @akinnison for putting in the effort to search up 17 different style she thought was the Duchess’ best fashion moments as I would otherwise probably never bother to check out on my own.
Again, I think it will be really nice for a late birthday tribute to the Duchess’ charity work/causes/interests. So instead of only talking the talk, why not actually try to walk the talk and write a tribute yourself?
