The 2013 People's Choice Awards was last night and featured a wide array of fashion, including Big Bang Theory Star and the host of the show, Kaley Cuoco. She looked lovely and princess-y in a pastel pink Christian Siriano dress, matched perfectly pretty pink lipstick and an elegant half-updo. Not only did Kaley shine on the red carpet, but she was a terrific host! Check out more People's Choice Awards fashion under the cut!
It wouldn't be a proper review without including what our favorite pop princess, Taylor Swift. And as always, Taylor has proven once again that her style has grown as much as her career:
Taking home the award for "Favorite Country Artist," Taylor wore a stunning cap-sleeve Ralph Lauren gown. While this follows her theme of elegant white gowns (show us some color, girl!), she did add a twist with the very deep v-neck plunge and the brown smoky eye makeup that just makes her blue eyes pop. This is definitely a little sexier than we have seen from the artist as of late. Some even think this is due to the aftermath of her and Harry Style's relationship fizzling out and she is just trying to show him what he has been missing!
The boldest fashion statement made was definitely the neon yellow, floral dress worn by Chloe Grace Moretz.
I have to admit I am a bit mixed on this outfit. The floral design is not really doing it for me and the bright color is a little hard on the eyes. However, despite the fact that I am not a fan of the neon color, I think it works for Chloe. She is young and sweet, so the dress does end up looking cute on her; I doubt it would work on many other stars. Plus her simple hairs and classic shoes do help to mature the style a bit. It may not be my favorite outfit of the night, but definitely a bold move on behalf of the actress.
Finally, I think it is time to look at our very own Katniss Everdeen! Jennifer Lawrence walked away with an award for "Favorite Female Actress" and gave a friendly speech offering to break up her award and give it to the other nominees just like in Mean Girls! She worked the event in a sparkly, long-sleeved black dress:
And while she is the hottest young star of the year (Hello Oscar nomination!), I have to admit that I am not a big fan of the dress! Jennifer has an amazing body that can rock body-hugging dresses like no one else, so I was disappointed to see her in something that had her looking a bit frumpy. She looks lost in all the sparkly fabric on top and the weird shape of the skirt has her looking awkward instead of sexy. This was definitely the biggest disappointment of the night, despite how happy she looks to have won her award.
