2012 was a pretty decent year for Taylor Swift, at least in the “eligible bachelors” department. First she bagged a Kennedy, and then swiftly (no pun intended) moved on to One Direction’s Harry Styles. Much was said about the relationship between the two pop stars, who seemed to be doing fairly well. But apparently looks aren’t what they seem, and the two split while on vacation! According to the source, Styles and Swift ended things on a rather sour note:

…On Friday, Jan. 4, Swift caught the first flight out of Virgin Gorda and headed back to the states after getting into a heated argument with Styles that ended the two-month relationship, according to a source close to One Direction…Richard Branson heard Harry was staying nearby so invited him to come check out Necker. So when Taylor left for the states, Harry went to Branson’s island for the day to let off some steam.’

The two were then spotted on their own separate getaways, with Taylor boarding a boat and styles chilling out in a hot tub. Awww, I had no real opinion on this couple, but Swift does look awfully sad all alone in that last photo. But hey, I’m sure she’ll at least get some great songwriting material out of this.
