There’s no question that a precise cat eyeliner is the most challenging make-up look ever. There is also no question about how freaking awesome it makes you look and feel. I have been doing makeup since I can remember and even to this day, banging out this bold liner look presents quite the challenge. That is, until, I found the eyeliner of my dreams!
The Stila Stay All Day Water Proof Liquid Eye Liner ($20 at Sephora) makes doing a cat eye so easy, it feels like cheating. This pen glides on effortlessly, precisely and the super pointy tip creates the most beautiful winged-out liner. As I said, this formulation is waterproof so it stays on until you take it off, but once that time comes it removes easily with warm water and soap. No scrubbing!
I personally have oily eyelids, and if you’re the same way I recommend applying an eyeshadow primer and then a wash of light, neutral shadow before applying this liner so that it really stays in place.
Is doing a cat eyeliner hard for you? Have you tried this product before?

I’ve seen it before and I’ve wanted to try it, but I am scared I may be allergic to it. I don’t want to spend 20 bucks and not be able to wear it.

I love the cat eye look! I have no problem doing them. I should give this Stila eye liner a try.

revlon’s color stay liquid eye pen works just as well for half the price. i have both and prefer revlon over the stila pen!

@xladymadonna@xanga - I just bought the Revlon one, too, and it is AMAZING. It’s so much easier to use and it stays on so well!

I am so bad at matching both of my eyes XD
I’ve heard a lot of really good things about this eyeliner, but since I wear eyeliner a grand total of about twice a year, I don’t know if I want to spend $20 on one. I’ll definitely look into this Revlon one, though, thanks @xladymadonna@xanga!

@bittersweetromantic@xanga - I have the same problem…so I end up trying to fix it by adding more to the skinny side…then it is off again. Vicious cycle. I usually just end up telling me people my makeup was inspired by Adele.
@xladymadonna@xanga - Thanks for the Revlon suggestion.
I’ve only tried one liquid eye pen: Maybelline Stiletto. While it is not difficult to use, I do find it kind of hard to make a dark opaque line without having to go over it a second time. The thing I really don’t like about it, is that it dries kind of shiny. Will need to try the Revlon pen, and maybe if my wallet suddenly gets really fat, I will try the Stila pen.

@babybug329@xanga - I will try to even it out by adding more to the skinny side and then back again.
But I usually end up taking a wipe to my face in frustration and just lining my eyes very simply if I bother to re-line them at all. ^^;

@Erika_Steele@xanga - If you buy it at sephora and end up allergic, or not liking it for any reason you can return it for a store credit always. I always get my makeup there for that reason because I have a lot of skin allergies too =)
I need this in my life!

@voodoo_flower_child@xanga - I did not know that. Cool. I’ll try it.

I cannot do liquid eyeliner. It looks soooo bad on me.

@Erika_Steele@xanga - What’s great about Sephora is that they have an open return policy….if you get it home and you have a reaction, you can return it…no questions asked!

@anniestrole - Practice and maybe robotics. My hands are so shaky; reason #27 why Starr should never become a surgeon. XD

I use revlon color stay liquid liner(: I have mastered the cat eye<3 I don’t need stila for that<3

I like using a gel liner with an angled brush to do a cat eye. But I may try this at some point. I just hate dropping $20 on a liner.
