Most people (me) use Instagram to “artistically” document the average workings of their everyday lives. And I’m not gonna lie: I love it. I usually post at least one Instagram photo a day, because I’m weird like that and I love to obsessively document everything. (And I can now understand why my mom makes us take pictures at every family outing, as annoying as it was growing up.) But one band has done something revolutionary and cool with the app: they shot a music video! You definitely need to click here and check it out.
Wasn’t that astounding? And the music was pretty good, too! It’s all brought to you by The Plastics Revolution, who claim that the video was “done entirely on Instagram without any third party alterations.” This is certainly a revolutionary project, and I’d love to see more like it in the future! What do you think of this video?

Interesting, though I think unless it’s them doing it again the novelty and creativity behind it will be completely lost. And other than the fact that it was done using an app, and the fact the app makes your pictures into that stupid square shape, it’s not that new. Stop motion videos using photos have been done for years, quite a few old 80′s music videos for example used to use that effect as well, not to mention commercials, shorts, random youtube videos, etc.
But it was nicely done, seemed like they had a lot of fun in this.
