This weekend I went back to my hometown of Austin, Texas to attend a friend’s wedding. Naturally, I was so excited that they were getting married, but I was equally as excited about having an excuse to dress up and dance the night away (the open bar was a big plus as well).
Here is a look at what I wore to the beautiful event:
Dress: Express
I absolutely LOVED wearing this dress. The fringes and natural flow made me feel ultra feminine and looked awesome when I was dancing. I felt almost like an old time flapper girl!
Necklace: from TJ MAXX
I was originally going to pair this dress with a solid gold, “U” shaped necklace, but could not find one, so I found this one at my local TJ MAXX for only $19.99 and ended up really liking how it matched everything. The gold went perfect with the red and the rhinestones brought a little bling to my neck.
Watch: Courtesy of my Mother
I love me some Michael Kors and luckily, so does my mom. She let me borrow her gold MK watch for the night and I really liked the thickness of it because it looked like a link bracelet as well as a watch.
Ring: Vintage from my Grandmother
This ring originally belonged to my grandmother and got passed down to my mom who let me borrow it for the night. The picture really does not do it justice; the way it sparkled in the light was beautiful.
Shoes: BCBG Generation from TJ MAXX
I was torn between these and one other pair of shoes for the event, but decided on this pair (with coaxing from my mom) and am so glad I did. They are flirty and fun and made me feel like a salsa dancer. The little rhinestones on the back of the heels matched my necklace and the gold t-straps matched my other gold accessories.
Jacket: Candie’s from Kohl’s
Cute Boy: My best friend/date for the night/boyfriend
This tuxedo jacket was much needed since the wedding was outdoors and I was freezing! The classic black and white matches everything and tied the whole outfit together
We had a great time!
