I love being a graphic designer. I get to come to work every day and help bring ideas and concepts to life, and I learn new things almost every day. However, like every other job out there, you can get some pretty ignorant comments from clients/customers that make your eyes want to roll out of your head. Sure, it’s their project and it should be how they want it, but after all, they hired you for your expertise, right? Some Irish creative professionals designed posters visualizing actual idiotic feedback from clients, which is really what we should start doing at my job, instead of forwarding the comments to co-workers and giggling all day.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard this from clients, along with the dreaded “I’ll know what I want when I see it.” Yikes.

I have non-specific fun all the time. My friends and I all stand in a line and smile and gesture with our hands. Sometimes one of us may jump, but that’s only if we go wild.

Had the “turn it around in photoshop” one just last week… /le sigh.
Among my favorites are “I really want it to, you know, POP” and “I don’t really want a flyer or a brochure… just something to hand to people.”
This one was a couple of weeks ago…
Me: “Who is your target demographic?”
Him : “Most of the people we are targeting with this ad have already signed up.”
Me : “Why am I running an ad then?”
Him : “So they won’t forget the date.”

I had a client ask me to photoshop a lady’s camel toe out of a stock photo once. i was like, “uhh, why don’t we just go with a different picture…?”

Most of the posters got me cracking up.
