PETA has never been a subtle organization. For years they’ve been running ads and doing promotions that always manage to catch the public eye…and stir up plenty of controversy. Usually PETA-related scandals revolve around one element that always manages to cause people to clutch their pearls: nudity. And now they’ve come out with a new ad that follows the same formula, but is still making people talk nonetheless. It features “Real Housewives of Miami” cast member Joanna Krupa in a very interesting getup. Check out the NSFW photo by clicking here!
Well…yup. I’m not familiar with exactly who Krupa is, but that ad is exactly what I would expect from PETA. I’m not really irate or even shocked by it; we’ve all seen this sort of thing numerous times before. Naturally I’m all for protecting animal rights, but can’t PETA come up with something a bit more unique to convince other people of the same thing? [via Buzzfeed]
What do you think of this ad?

What the hell…? So their message is, don’t wear fur trim on your underwear that will make you look like you have unruly Sasquatch pubic hair? I’m just very confused. O.o

HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA awesome

I like fur trim more now.

I think if you are able to grow your pubic hair that long, you have more problems to worry about then whether or not you should wear fur trim.

LOL funny .
I would never have real fur anyways . Fake fur is just as good

I think it’s kind of lame that they’re insinuating that pubic hair is gross or wrong.
But I guess for most people, it gets the point across.

The message I got was don’t put shi tzus in your underwear…that’s animal abuse.

@emotastic7@xanga - I definitely agree with the first part! Also, it’s just a weird stance in general– wearing animal fur is gross because natural body hair is gross? Peta usually takes their ad campaigns too far with shaming humans (calling fat people whales, making domestic violence references) and this seems to be treading the same line.

This is simply reinforcing society’s view that women should not go all natural down there- that its unattractive. They may support animal’s rights but they are doing nothing to support women and defying that stereotype. This is a ridiculous ad campaign and makes me angry as a woman. Society should not deem whether hair down there is unattractive or not.

PETA- suck my non-existent balls.
(:
Or find some unsavory, unwashed, man, and suck his.
So…. I’ll just go eat some meat.. and that’ll be that.

At a glance it’s humorous. However as an ad it’s just poorly done. The text is poorly chosen/written, the pose and look of the model doesn’t really get any kind of point across, etc. I’ve liked a lot of their full nude ads from the past, regardless of controversy from what I can remember they were just simple and to the point.

I think they could have been more clever than this. It just ended up being offensive rather than focusing on their point.

does Lady Gaga wear meat underwear?

Nothing out of the ordinary there. PETA is notorious for being tasteless and crass in their campaigns.

This looks more like something TheoDan should be posting.

She’s on Real Housewives–Miami. This shoot was in an episode…I thought it was pretty funny.

The only thing that came to mind after seeing this, “I guess she’s not a real blonde.”

women are objects to be used for publicity and financial gain, so sayeth Peta

I’m a vegetarian and I don’t even support PETA the way they try to get their point across I feel ends up putting a lot of people off and gives vegetarians a bad reputation.
