Let your inner mall goth run wild because Hot Topic is launching an “alternative” lingerie store called “Blackheart.” The toughened up Victoria’s Secret look is actually…pretty cute. The best part: it’s affordable with bras priced between $29.50 and $44.50, panties between $8.50 and $14.50 and accessories ranging from $5 to $15.
Okay, okay I know anything that has “Hot Topic” attached to it conjures images of thirteen-year-olds with liberty spikes and neon tongue rings but if you can put that aside, skull print panties + matching lace bras = WIN. Hot Topic’s new business venture targets women between the ages of 18 – 30 that prefer a darker, more “alternative” style. This is the only way I can see Hot Topic expanding successfully, let’s just hope they leave Kreayshawn’s latest album of out it. It depends. I know the line is targeted towards women 18-30, and I am 30, but the designs shown above are pretty cool. I suppose the deciding point is whether or not they have items in my size. I don’t think the items are more affordable than Frederick’s or Aerie. The range of prices for the bras just fall slightly below the bras at Victoria’s Secret, the panties prices comparable.

Recently I bought a Batman pair of undies with attached cape at Hot Topic to match my boyfriends Batman boxers with attached cape we got at Target.

I like Hot Topic… Well, I used to like it much more. Then stuff I dont like became popular, and thats almost all they seem to have :/ Although sometimes I will find video game merch and band shirts. But I dont dress like a goth, lol. They just sometimes have good things

$30-45 for a bra and $8-$15 for panties…. that is affordabe???? In what way? I can make a corset for a tenth of that price.i know I am a college kid and cant afford much, but even if I could, I highly doubt I would pay that much for stuff no one will see.

So I am just now seteing this post and all I have to say is that I LOVE BLACKHEART!! They do have an online website and have great deals almost every week! From $25 bras, 50% off all loungewear, buy 3 get 3 free, etc. It is actually very affordable and that’s coming from someone who’s a money hoarder.
