2008 was the first year I was eligible to vote. And boy, did I immerse myself in the elections: my days were spent constantly keeping myself updated on the polls, issues and politicians themselves. I would bet that I checked some sort of news regarding the race at least once every ten minutes. Four years later, however, things are a bit different. I’m still voting (of course) and still keeping myself informed about the issues, but the political fire that burned under me in 2008 just isn’t there. In fact, I feel like I have a serious case of voter fatigue, and I honestly just can’t wait for election day to be done and over with. But it seems I’m not the only one who feels this way, as this adorable video of a four-year-old crying over the election shows!

Yep, sounds about right! Halloween was a nice, boozy distraction from all these politics, but now that it’s over, I think I’ll just hole up with Netflix for a week and make some really good mix CDs so I don’t have to turn on the radio in the car. But as sick as most of us are with election talk, remember: it’s still important to get out and vote! So educate yourself on the issues and then go do it! [via Boston]
