Ah, the library. I spent many a lunch hour in those hallowed rooms during school, where you would find me with my nose in a book and a sandwich in my hand. Sure, I had (some) friends, but I always enjoyed the literal and mental peace and quiet I could find between the bookshelves. But not everything at the library is enjoyable, or even normal. Just take a look at these 11 strange books and see for yourself!
I’ve never been to Canada, so tell me: is that what it’s really like? People running around in wedding dresses wielding cats and/or baseball bats? Because if so, I totally want to visit. Head on over to the source to see even more absurdity! [via Buzzfeed]
Which of these is funniest?

The Sex in the Afterlife one sounds kind of interesting…I just hope it’s not like a dream I had where I was a ghost and my sexual partner was still human and he couldn’t see or feel me so it was the most awkward sex ever…

And I hope the one on how to get a teenage boy was written for teenage girls, not 40-year-old Mrs. Robinson types. The title almost sounds like something Mrs. Robinson type would keep in her bedroom…

I’m now deeply, deeply disturbed. Thanks.

“Speeding Mullet” that title cracked me up. Many of the cover illustrations of these books look quite old, like from the 70s. Did people consider that stuff normal back then?

Haha I love “Castration Celebration” and “A Day in the Life of Canada”….

The “Still Stripping” book is pretty harmless. The lady teaches how to make quilts using a method that untilizes strips of fabric. I have one of her books and made a nice quilt following her directions.

these are just odd, but eye catching, it would make me curious to pick the book up & read the synopsis.
