These sculptural collages cut from antique books are the most beautiful thing I have seen in a long time. Its conceptually brilliant and to think about the xacto knife/ scissor control that would be needed for such a task is mind-blowing.
Artist, Alexander Korzer-Robinson finds antique antiquarian books and carefully cuts out everything but the images on each page, leaving the pages in order. The results are these intricate collages. Check out these amazing works of art under the cut!

Amazing!!
But how do the pictures stay where they are, in page order, if they aren’t attached to the spine or a illustrated border…? I don’t get it.

This is awesome. I’d never be able to do something like this without accidentally ripping the whole thing to shreds.
@Wudjudo@xanga - I think he keeps the borders of each page intact and, for the images that are in the middle and don’t seem attached to anything, their attachment to the borders is hidden behind the other images. That’s just my guess though.
