It’s finally starting to get cold in Texas, so it’s about time to me to start covering up with a ton of dark colors and really only relying on accessories for pops of color and/or pattern. I especially love scarves because they’re so versatile, and I wear them year after year, so if I spend a little more than I’d like to on a pricier scarf, I can at least rest assured knowing that I’m getting my money’s worth overall.

Here are 5 scarves that I’m coveting for this upcoming cold weather:

1. Cooperative Conversational Print Scarf, Urban Outfitters, $24
Animal prints are everywhere this season, from leopard print to actual prints of animals, and this is the perfect way to make a darker ensemble pop. It’s also pretty lightweight, so you’d be able to wear it season-to-season.

2. Yellow Brick Cold Scarf, ModCloth, $24
I’m in love with mustard yellow, and I wear it from summer to winter. It looks so good with darker colors (think charcoal gray), and it’s a perfect pop of color to a darker outfit.

3. Kimchi Blue Crosshatch Printed Eternity Scarf, Urban Outfitters, $29
I love adding a busy pattern to a basic outfit… this would look great with a basic tee (as pictured), a blouse or with a dress. Super versatile.

4. A Shortcut Above Scarf in Pink, ModCloth, $27.99
I love this sweet pink color, it’d be perfect with a dark gray or black jersey dress, tights and a pair of boots.

5. Spot On Scarf, Tobi, $18.
I believe this website is now sold out in this color, but since leopard print is so hot right now, it wouldn’t be hard to find a similar one. Be sure and check out the gallery for how to style leopard print scarves! They look too cute.

Do you wear a lot of scarves when it starts to get cold outside, Lovelies? What are some of your favorite ways to style them?
