Getting some friends together over at my house every Saturday night to watch SNICK is definitely one of my favorite memories of childhood. I still watch old-school Nickelodeon (Salute Your Shorts, Adventures of Pete & Pete, Ren & Stimpy, etc.), but nothing had quite the effect on me like Are You Afraid of the Dark?… not even my collection of Goosebumps books! It gave me nightmares as a child, and some of the memories of those episodes still stick with me as an adult. (The vampire in the movie theater one scared the hell out of me.) I think screenwriters should just get rid of all of the half-naked screaming women and the “let’s split up” clichés and just recycle these episodes. Patrick Sullivan has already done half the work by designing eerie posters for grown-up versions of three classic episodes often cited as the series’ spookiest: “The Tale of Dead Man’s Float,” “The Tale of the Night Nurse” and “The Tale of the Dangerous Soup” (with Neve Campbell!). Submitted for the approval of the Midnight Society, I bring you three posters of movies that should be made ASAP.

I’d love to see a poster made for “The Tale of the Phantom Cab” and “The Tale of the Twisted Claw,” too! [via Vulture]

Lovelies, which poster is your favorite? Did any of you watch SNICK every Saturday night? What episode of Are You Afraid of the Dark? scared you and your friends the most?
