One of my all time favorite movies is Paper Moon with Tatum O’Neil. It takes place in the 30′s and during one part of the film, they are at a carnival where Tatum’s character, Addie, gets her photo taken on a paper moon. Apparently, the paper moon backdrop was extremely popular in the early 1900′s, even though I could barely find any information of it’s origin on the Internet. I was surprised to see so many vintage paper moon photos when I search for them.
It got me thinking about how I would love to set up a paper moon photo booth at a party, or better yet, this could be a really adorable idea for a wedding! Check out some these enchanting vintage paper moon photos under the cut.

I think my family posed for a picture on a paper moon. Have no idea why.

@bittersweetromantic@xanga - I could do one for you, B&W. I’ve seen MIKE, a friend of mine do neat stuff like this, make photos of himself look vintage in scenes and after he gave a demo showing how. I know I could put you in a paper moon on the computer with Corel Paintshop.
There is a sample of my work HERE.
PM me if you’re curious.
The top one is certainly the prettiest, Katie !
