Halloween’s nearing, so why not give you the stuff nightmares are made of? I woke up this morning and had the urge to gross our lovely readers out. So here it is: your favorite childhood toys, disintegrating before your tearful eyes and ultimately shattering your precious memories of playtime you hold so dear. Consider this the work of evil spirits rising for the dark holiday soon to come. I’m really not this cruel – the photos are just that crazy and they deliciously wax sinister. Explosions must be a natural calling for Alan Sailer. The artist, who has previously photographed exploding food and exploding Christmas ornaments, probably figured the next logical collection should pull at our heartstrings, in a twisted way. Using a pellet rifle, he captures creepy images of bursting My Little Ponies, stuffed animals and freaky doll heads filled with gelatin. 

Creepy results, I tell you what.
