I will admit, I was a little late when it came to hopping on the Modern Family train. I was temporarily sucked into the vortex of reality television shows so deeply, you might as well have called me Alexis-The Situation-Honey Boo Boo Kardashian.

However, thanks to my younger sister (and many family road trips), I have been saved by the Pritchett-Dunphy-Tucker clan. How could I have missed Lily’s debut to the family in Cam’s Lion King-like fashion? From Gloria’s old stories of her native Colombia to Phil’s “Phil’s-osophies,” I am loving every minute of this uproariously funny family.
