I have such a soft spot for this movie. As a child, I watched this movie, along with “Halloweentown” and “The Nightmare Before Christmas” every Halloween (and pretty much all the time year round). It’s so funny to watch them now, because I remember the smallest lines and details, and I get a lot of the jokes that I never used to understand as a kid. Don’t get me wrong, I love scary movies too, but there’s something so nice about watching this childhood favorite every year.
Click through the gallery for more awesome screencaps/GIFs! I was so upset that I couldn’t find a GIF of the scene where they see the fire truck and they scream and run away, but it’s not like the entire movie isn’t etched into my memory anyway.
Did you watch this movie back in the ’90′s? What are your Halloween film staples? Image source, image source

This is one of my favorite Halloween movies. I don’t really care for scary movies full of blood and gore, so I’d go for cutesy or humorous ones. Others I like include:
* The Nightmare Before Christmas* Young Frankenstein* Elvira: Mistress of the Dark* The Rocky Horror Picture Show* Edward Scissorhands* it’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown* Teen Witch
I guess you can say I’m a scary movie wimp.

This is definitely a 90′s kid classic halloween movie. I’m disappointed there isn’t a gif for the black river.

Oh how I love this movie. I do have to admit I think its funny though that even a disney family movie makes it seem like being a virgin is a bad thing.
