Time to set your DVRs, ladies. It may be months away, but this January, your two favorite comediennes/girl crushes will be hosting the Golden Globes! Amy Poehler and Tina Fey, the first female anchor team of Saturday Night Live‘s “Weekend Update”, make up the dynamic duo that keeps getting better with age. How will these two fare in comparison to the controversial hosting duties of Ricky Gervais of recent broadcasts?

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association, the organization behind the Golden Globes (and constant butt of jokes from Gervais,) officially announced the ladies as co-hosts on Monday. The 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards will air January 13, 2013 on NBC. According to The New York Times, NBC Entertainment’s president of alternative and late-night programming, Paul Telegdy, is pretty excited about the hosting selection:

Having both Tina Fey and Amy Poehler on board to host this year’s festivities is a major coup.”

One big fat “Duh” to you, Telegdy. These women are incredibly hilarious and deservedly successful for their ever-perfecting craft of humor. They create, polish and flawlessly deliver the most gut-busting comedy and choice characters. Equal parts glorious, I can’t wait to see my best friends combine their forces once again to entertain the world like naturals this January.
