One of the best things about Halloween (besides the scary movies, costumes, seasonal brews, etc.) are all of the sweets that seem to be everywhere! Ghost-shaped cookies, bat cupcakes, spooky-cute cake pops… I’m all on board with this. You may remember our Halloween-themed food post a couple of weeks ago, but get ready… we’ve found more!
1. The sweetest little ghost cake!
While I love pretty much everything about Halloween, sometimes things can get a little too bloody and gory-looking for my err, taste. I love how simple and spooky this cake is. Too cute!
2. Pretzel bones!
Pretzels, marshmallows and white chocolate. Simple and delicious. I found the easy recipe here!
3. Halloween cake pops!
So adorable, and cake pop makers are actually pretty inexpensive.
4. Halloween mis-fortune cookies!
I love how unique these little cookies are. I mean, who doesn’t love fortune cookies? And they’re pumpkin pie-flavored too! I’d probably personalize the message inside just to freak out my friends.
5. Skeleton gingerbread cookies!
I love this cute, simple touch to a cold-weather staple.
6. He and She-Ghost cookies!
I love how some of the ghosts are boys and some are girls. And their blush… aw. These are almost too cute to eat… almost.
7. Vampire cookies!
Sweet little cookies with raspberry jam blood… yum!
8. Chocolatey spider cookies with licorice!
Chocolate, yes. Black licorice… well, I don’t know about that. I may use red licorice instead, but these are still adorable.
9. Bat cupcakes!
I love decorating cookies/cupcakes for Halloween and Christmas because it’s so easy and it almost always looks cute, no matter how badly I decorated them. Target has tons of Halloween cookie/cupcake decorative icings and sprinkles. Check it out!
10. Possibly the cutest owl cookies I’ve ever seen!
Candy corn + owls + cookies = win.
Will you be making any of these this Halloween? Which ones are your favorite?

I loved all the cookie ideas, they are just adorable. Too bad about I have about 2 seconds of patience to decorate them. But maybe I can do the spider whoopie pies?

@babybug329@xanga - Decorating is my favorite part… I may not cook them correctly, and they may not taste very good. But they WILL be effing cute!

@misswheeler - “Too cute to eat!” I might make some candy bar cookies. Instead of chocolate chips, I will add chopped up chocolate candy bars to the cookie dough. Just about any flavor works, but I recommend freezing the bars that are filled with soft fillings like 3 Musketeers until slightly firm before chopping, makes it a little easier.

I was thinking about walnuts and covering them in white chocolate to make them look like mini brains? To top cupcakes but I dunno if it would work! I love the bones, pretzel, marshamallow thingy. Ah I love Halloween!
