From Keira Knightley to Blake Lively, Chanel has had a number of famous (and pretty) women as the face of the iconic brand. And now Brad Pitt is being thrown into the mix, with a new commercial for Chanel No 5. But even though Pitt looks awfully dashing in the spot, some people are laughing at his philosophical, somewhat rambling lines. Watch the brief commercial here and let us know what you think of it!
Eh, this doesn’t exactly make me want to run out and buy the fragrance or anything, but it’s not too bad. In a world of loud, bright commercials it’s refreshing to see a more demure ad. The only thing I would change is that haircut; please go short again, Brad!

He needs to go into voicing audio books. I’d totally listen to him speak. On the other hand, he needs a haircut and they need to change the background fabric. But I like the overall theme and black and white.

Hmm. It’s not that bad of a commercial. I’ve seen better and I’ve seen worse.
I’ve been wearing Chanel No.5 since I was fifteen years old. I don’t think I’ll be stopping anytime soon. I think it’s one of the best perfumes out there. It’s been around for ages.

That man has no credibility and the reputation of an incredible douchebag. I saw the commerical last night and all I could think was “bad acting!!”
They should have stuck with Blake.

I think they knew exactly what they were doing. They don’t need fancy sounds, colours, makeup, or outfits with him. Given his status, the commercial does an excellent job in making you “wait” and listen to what he has to say. Even if it’s all just for a bottle of smelly stuff…..and even if I found the first part kind of…. awkward.
Amusing, however…given how this is something I’d never imagine Jolie doing.
