Crooner Lana Del Rey is set to release a new version of her first album, complete with nine extra songs. While it’s not out until next month, fans will be happy to hear that today she released a music video for the first single from the CD. The song is called “Ride” and the video is filled with breathy narrative, prostitution, guns and lots of motorcycles. Oh, and it’s ten minutes long. Check it out here and let us know what you think!

I’m not gonna lie: I really thought I would dislike LDR when she first came onto the music scene. In fact, I kind of wanted to dislike her, since all my music-loving friends thought she was a big phony. But I just couldn’t, and now I listen to her CD a few times a month. And I really, really like this song, and will probably shell out the money for this upcoming album.

As for the music video, it’s…very Lana Del Rey. The visuals are pretty, the voiceover sounds like a soothing perfume commercial and Lana looks lovely in every shot. (I was not happy to see her waltzing around in a Native American headdress, but that’s a topic for an entirely separate post.) Overall, it was fine. However, while I will blast this track in my car, I don’t think I’ll spend ten minutes watching the video again. [via Huffington Post]
